Spotify has renewed its licensing agreement with Joe Rogan for a multiyear period, extending the platform's relationship with the host of The Joe Rogan Experience.
The agreement is valued at roughly $250 million, according to reporting cited by The Verge. The show remains Spotify's leading podcast and is described as the top show globally.
Under the renewed structure, new episodes of The Joe Rogan Experience can run on Spotify as well as other distribution platforms. That approach differs from a strictly exclusive arrangement while retaining Spotify's commercial connection to one of podcasting's largest audiences.
For audio platforms, the deal illustrates the continuing value of major creator franchises even as distribution becomes less constrained by a single app. Licensing arrangements can preserve reach across the wider podcast ecosystem while giving platforms a role in advertising, audience data and content strategy.
